damn that was impressive. I saw that happen to a tree in my parents back yard, followed by the top 20' crushing our pool

How exactly are humans not a part of nature?

How can we be part of nature when we treat it the way we do right now? Please, before you answer this question in the most logical way possible, think about what I’m asking here.

I’m not a treehugger, but I havent seen any other ‘part of nature’ fuck up their environment this much.

The way we treat our environment has nothing to do with our origins. Just because a bear shits in the woods, doesn’t mean that bear is not part of the woods.

It’s important to remember that we are a part of nature. The more we distance ourselves from it the more we fuck it up.

Fuck no. Everything within nature happens for a damn reason, that bear shitting in the woods, forrest fires, lightning strikes, you name it. Except for us. We produce so much unnatural crap and throw it out into this planet, I dont think theres a better plan than to distance ourselves in such a way that certain parts of this planet can rehabilitate itself.

How can you not see that nearly everything where we have ‘landed’, nearly everything we have touched is either gone, pulverized, burnt to the ground or shot and killed. How is it that there’s a whole list of ‘extinct animals’? How is it that there are still a bunch of idiots shooting elephants and rhinos and whatnot just for their ivory, not realizing the importance of these beings on this planet? There are a shitload of examples I could list and name.

Im not the one who forgot about our origins, I just dont consider ourselves in touch with these origins anymore.

Bruh, I’m on your side. I just think if we keep pretending that we are different or somehow separate from the rest of the life on this planet then we are bound to keep destroying it. People need to realize that we are all just animals.
